Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) is a widely used approach to improving a business by gaining efficiency and improving morale. BPR adopts a triangle approach of “People, Process and Technology”.
Process
Many processes are followed because of historic reasons where they have never been reviewed or updated. These processes are handed down through “hands on training” and encourage inefficiency.
Technology
Many improvements start with technology as the solution to the problem whereas IT is just the enabler to aid the people in their process
People
The most influential and focused point of any change is the staff. They have the ideas, know the problems and through being engaged in the change will support and drive improvement.
